The ketogenic diet, also known as the keto diet which is a low carb, medium protein, high fat diet. Rule of thumb, or the mathematical equation is 5 % carbs 20% protein 70% fat equals a good formula for a Ketogenic diet. It truly is that simple. Carbs should come from your leafy greens, not starchy vegis, nuts, and berries. There’s more to the list but I tend to focus on the things I like to eat. Proteins can come from your meats, try for grass-fed, eggs, and dairy. Your fats can come from coconut oils, olive oils, meats, MCT oil, avocados and more but what I’ve listing I eat a lot of. I’ll share bigger lists later along with recipes I’ve tried and like. If you follow the guideline, your body will go into a state of ketosis which is where all the benefits start to happen. This is where you could and most likely will start seeing weight loss and your body may even start feeling better. Those aches and pains you might experience might disappear. It did happen for me. I’ll get more detailed in future posts. I try to be conscious of the fact we are all different. I don’t want to throw out guarantees about anything but my experience has been nothing but positive.
